Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert Split: 'The Voice' Coach Hints New Music After Divorce,Is It About Situation? [PHOTO]
They've been remarkably civil following their divorce announcement and are even being described as friends afterwards, but any hurt Blake Shelton may be feeling from his divorce from Miranda Lambert could soon come out in a new song.
The Voice coach country singer tweeted out August 21 to tell fans he was working on a new song that was important to him.
"Wrote a song so important to me I can' t believe it...Thank you Jon Randall and @JessiLAlexander," he wrote.
It is unclear what the song is about, but with he and Lambert announcing their divorce last month, the news of new music has some wondering if it will discuss pain from the divorce that he hasn't been disclosing to the public.
Both he and Lambert have kept mainly quiet about the divorce in public and in the media, though some of their friends have since spoken out and revealed that the two are doing fine.
"Blake and I have talked a little bit. A divorce out of the public eye is a tremendous thing to have to deal with, so when they're in the public eye, you just hope they're doing good and you hope they're happy at the end of the day," Luke Bryan has said of the former couple.
Chris Young, who's name was dragged into the divorce as a potential cause for allegedly cheating with Lambert (a claim he has since denied), also addressed how the two were doing in a recent interview as well.
"I have not seen them, [but] I've definitely texted and called both of them," he said. "They're both good since [the last] time I've heard from them. As good as you can be...They're both really great friends still, so I guess it's just one of those things. That's kind of a byproduct of doing this and being in the spotlight I guess."
