Move over Justin Bieber.

British boy band One Direction beat the 18-year-old "Boyfriend" singer this year, at least according to Google. One Direction was Google Canada's top music-related search for 2012.

"Justin Bieber's kind of taking some licks, at least in terms of how he ranks in Google searches this year," said Aaron Brindle, Google Canada spokesperson. "He still has tons and tons of searches, but it's interesting, this is kind of a hard year for Justin Bieber because he was outpaced by One Direction and then we also saw ... 'Gangnam Style' (by PSY) passed Justin Bieber's ('Baby') as the most watched video of all time last month."

One Direction has been even more of a tabloid target ever since band member Harry Styles began dating country music superstar Taylor Swift. Though Swift and Styles seem to be happy together, reports said that other members of One Direction are getting sick of Swift and think she is coming between the band.

Swift flew Styles from New York to the United Kingdom in her private jet for a performance last week but she did not invite any other band members, which upset them very much, according to a source.

"The rest of the band were a bit annoyed about the whole thing," the source said. "They took a Virgin commercial flight and there were tons of spare seats on the jet. They were a bit miffed that Harry chose to go with her instead of them. They had just finished a huge concert in NY and all of them were on a high, the fact he left them to travel solo irritated them a bit."

But after that, Swift tried to make amends. After 1D's performance on Saturday night, the country singer got on the band's tour bus and traveled the three and a half hour drive with them from London to Manchester.

"It was a nice gesture of her," the source said. "And definitely came across as her way of making nice with everyone, of bridging the gap. She wanted to show them she is one of the boys."
