Apparently, things are so bad in the Duggar household right now that Michelle and Jim Bob have gone into hiding. There's a new report that suggests the former reality television stars "are all hunkered down" in their Arkansas residence as they simply can't handle their son Josh Duggar's current Ashley Madison scandal, in which he admitted to cheating on his wife Anna.

After news broke that Josh paid $1,000 for the subscription service to have a paid for "secret affair" even though he is married, the Duggar family has realized that there's no way they'll ever regain their celebrity status as one of America's most loved families.

According to People Magazine, things are so bad right now that Michelle and Jim Bob have decided to keep their distance from their son, even if it means excluding him from the family.

A source told the site, "I would assume he feels like his life is ruined. It will be such a steep and practically impossible climb to come back from this. Jim Bob and Michelle recognized that anytime they were seen publicly with Josh, a story gets made out of it that rehashes the whole mess. They are maintaining that some distance is as much for his own good as it is for theirs."

What's more, the Duggar family are refusing to make any public appearances right now, as they are unsure what to do with their own futures, all thanks to Josh's sexual molestation scandal (in which he admitted to sexually abusing his sisters when he was a teenager) and now his infidelities behind his wife's back.

The insider added, "They're all hunkered down over here. It's just a mess, it's a whole mess. We don't even know what the truth is anymore. It's insane."
