Gilbert Arenas, who has been off-and-on with his now ex fiancée Laura Govan, set the record straight on speculation that he fathered Draya’s child 11 years ago.

He took to an Instagram post that questioned if Arenas was the father and even claimed that he paid $20,000 for Draya to keep quiet about it.

Arenas commented and shared his history with Draya and said there’s no way he could be the father. He said that the child was already four-years-old when he met Draya on Feb. 4, 2008. He said the child was born in 2003 or 2004. He said that he and Draya were only friends.

He also spoke on his drama with Govan and said he put a gag order on her when she joined Basketball Wives LA in 2010. He didn’t want her to be able to “[run] my name through the dirt with lies…”

He said that Draya was also cast in the first season but was not being paid to relocate to California. So they had a deal that he wold help her move if she stayed quiet about him on the show, which included, “adding to laura’s media blasting.” Fans might remember that there were rumors around that time that Govan had an affair with the show’s creator then husband Shaquille O’Neal.

Arenas revealed, “If my name was mentioned in shooting they couldn’t air it….”

He said he wanted to clear the air for his children’s sake. He and Govan have four kids together.
