A recent report from The Sun discussing Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles gearing up for an extended break after they release their fifth studio album somehow swirled rumors that they would be disbanding and One Direction would be no more.

It literally made Twitter go insane with some pretty outrageous reactions.

Tomlinson, Horan and Payne took to Twitter to clear up the split rumor.

They really are just going on a long break since they have been working nonstop since they became a band on The X Factor in 2010.

"Your support is truly indescribable! It's just a break," Tomlinson said on Twitter, adding, ":) [W]e're not going anywhere!!"

"Promise," he vowed in another tweet on behalf of himself and his bandmates.

Horan shared similar views, noting the break they are going to be taking soon is "well earned."

"Don't worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve," Horan dished.

See, the band is by no means coming to an end. They just need some time off to relax.

Payne praised the fans for their never-ending support.

"Thank you so much for everything you have done for us it's been the most amazing five years and there's so much more to come," he gushed.

So there you have it! They will be taking a break, but they will remain as 1D.
