The latest spoiler report by TVLine addressed a question by a fan about the possible return of Will Einstein (Candace Hammer).

Another Regular BAU Member Set To Exit In Season 11

The character, who assisted Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) in season 10, might not be coming back after all. TVLine revealed that there were no plans of bringin Einstein back.

Instead the report went on to suggest that while there has been a lot of buzz about Reid's personal life in season 11, there is no confirmation of things picking up on that front. Gubler is "hopeful" that Reid gets a girlfriend "in the future."

Could Ella Greenaway Return For Season 11?

Even Gubler's other wish to get Jane Lynch back on the show as his mother, is seeming tough to grant. Lynch has busied up with various projects like Hollywood Game Night and Angel From Hell. "We never seem able to get her!" showrunner Erica Messer said.

In an interview earlier this year, Messer had hinted at taking Dr. Reid's romantic life more seriously in season 11. As there was a buzz surrounding his flirtation with a guest character in season 10, Messer said that while that won't last too long, the writers might address the need for a special someone in Reid's life in the next chapter.

"It's been two years. Maeve is something that will never go away in his heart. We want him to smile again and we think everybody else does too," she said.

Season 11 of Criminal Minds will premiere on Sept. 23 on CBS.
