Cops investigating the fatal plane crash site of singer Jenni Rivera have been arrested for stealing. The two cops, aged 23 and 24, have allegedly stolen items from the crash site, according to TMZ.

Government officials also said that at least one of the cops is a suspect in leaking photos of the crash scene to the media, which included body parts and personal documents. The homes of the cops have reportedly been investigated, which resulted in some items belonging to the crash victims being found.

The death of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera, 43, Sunday came as a shock to her millions of fans and fellow singers.

Folllowing a DNA test, the body of Rivera has been identified and turned over to her family today.

Mexican authorities found human remains in the mountains of the municipality of Iturbide some 70 miles south of Monterrey at around 5 pm local time Monday, according to a spokesperson of the State's Agency of Investigations, reported newspaper El Comercio.

The private plane where Rivera, four co-workers and two pilots were traveling, crashed Sunday as she headed to Mexico City to appear in the TV show "La Voz," the Mexican version of NBC's singing competition "The Voice."

A spokesman for Mexico's Nuevo Leon state also confirmed that the remains of Rivera's publicist and the plane's co-pilot have also been identified.

The Mexican Transportation ministry has said they have elements to confirm the remains found in Iturbide which "correspond to the registered aircraft N345MC in which Rivera and his companions were traveling."

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board stated that it would send a team to aid with the investigation of the Learjet 25's fatal crash. The plane reportedly disintegrated on impact while the seven individuals were still on board amid the northern Mexico terrain in Nuevo Leon state.

Investigators are still investigating the cause of the crash and stated that it would take days to put the pieces of the plane's wreckage back together and figure out what went wrong on the flight.

Rivera, 43, was born in Long Beach California to Mexican parents. She has sold more than 15 million albums and has been nominated for numerous Latin Grammys.

She is survived by her five children: Janney, Jacqueline and Michael, from her first marriage to Jose Trinidad Marin, and Jenicka and Johnny, from her second marriage to Juan Lopez.
