Taylor Swift Intruder, Arrested For Trespassing At Her Nashville Home
A 24-year-old man was arrested for trespassing Taylor Swift's Nashville home early Friday morning.
The male was caught hopping the fence at Swift's private property. He told police at the time of the arrest that he was her boyfriend and he was trying to see the country star for her 23rd birthday.
Jacob Kulk was arrested at 1:45 a.m. outside of the country singer's home on Dec. 14, the day after Swift's birthday, according to TMZ, He told police he had traveled by bus from Wisconsin to Nashville to spend time with the "Red" singer. He was initially caught by security and held until local authorities made an arrest. Kulke was then booked in jail and held on a $10,000 bond.
Kulke said he was communicating with someone on social media who claimed to be at the singer's home. However, it is unclear if Swift was even home at the time.
The gossip website noted that Kulke has had several illegal run-ins with the law prior to the Nashville arrest. He was convicted of battery, disorderly conduct and drug possession in Wisconsin in 2010 and placed on 13 months probation.
Enstarz reported that Swift celebrated her birthday all week with her new beau, One Direction band member Harry Styles, in England, his native country. A fan posted a photo on Twitter of the couple in rural northern England with Styles' mother.
Swift was reportedly "very friendly," according to Sarah Walker of Rising Sun pub in England's Hope Valley area. Walker told People that Swift said she loved Britain and was "excited about her birthday."
Swift's birthday had two professional milestones as well.
On Thursday she released her 23rd music video - the clip for her latest single "I Knew You Were Trouble." The video stars "Spiderman Turn off the Dark" actor Reeve Carney as her love interest. Swift also earned her first Golden Globe nomination for "Safe & Sound," her single on the "Hunger Games" soundtrack.
