'Transformers 5' Spoilers: Lockdown Actor Reveals When Filming For 'Age of Extinction' Sequel Will Begin [VIDEO]
In a recent interview, Mark Ryan, who voices Lockdown in the Transformers series, revealed that filming for the fifth installment is set to begin next year.
Movie News Guide caught up with the actor at the annual 'Wings and Wheels' convention in UK. So seems like it's going to be a lot more of a wait. Mark Wahlberg had previously suggested that he hoped filming would begin soon.
The writing team of Transformers 5 had been hard at work to get everything ready so that Bay can hit the ground running after he finishes his other project, Benghazi.

The trailer for 13 Hours: The Soldiers of Benghazi was recently unveiled which means the director is ready now for Transformers 5. Additionally in a recent interview one of the writers for the movie, hinted at the fact that they had readied the plot for the next movie. It seems like things will move into overdrive now as Bay enters the creative process.
Steve DeKnight, one of the writers on the crew revealed in an interview with IGN that they had finished the first step of the process. "I can't say what we plotted out, but it was all very exciting and in the next few months we'll see what moves forward and what doesn't move forward," he said.
The team will be led by Akiva Goldsman, and features Christina Hodson (The Fugitive), Lindsey Beer (Dig), Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), Jeff Pinker (Lost), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man), Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
