Taylor Swift Shops For Harry Styles Birthday Present Worth $80,000
With Harry Styles' birthday approaching, Taylor Swift reportedly called around Liverpool record shops asking about a birthday present for her boyfriend that will cost $80,000, London's Daily Star reported.
The "Red" singer is rumored to purchase $80,000 worth of Beatles memorabilia for the One Direction singer, who is a huge fan of the band. Styles turns 19 on Feb. 1, 2013.
"Harry spent £900 [$1500] on Taylor for her recent birthday, and now she wants to repay the favour - and then some," a source told the British tabloid.
For Swift's 23rd birthday on Dec. 13, Styles bought her 23 cupcakes and a $650 Jimmy Choo bag and earrings. She spent her birthday hanging out with Styles in England and a fan took a photo of the couple in rural northern England being escorted by Styles' mother. The 18-year-old drove for two hours to take Swift to the George and Dragon Hotel in Great Budworth, Cheshire, and they also "dined on traditional England food" at the Rising Sun pub in the Peak District in the Hope Valley area, People reported. Photos surfaced of the couple holding hands, smiling and even giggling while sitting in Styles' black Range Rover.
Styles' friend and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw said the 18-year-old has fallen in love with Swift "in a big way," adding, "it seems to be that she's the one - for now, anyway." Swift was recently on his radio show and he had only kind things to say about her.
"American artists are usually really, really boring and reserved but Taylor is fun. She's always up for a laugh and is really good company," he said. "Harry likes people who make him laugh. I talk to Harry a lot on the phone while he's away touring and he talks about her a lot. He is very happy with her. I like her a lot too."
