His wedding day to Carly (Laura Wright) is supposed to be an incredibly happy time, but Sonny (Maurice Benard) may not be in the best position to enjoy it anymore on General Hospital.

After going to try and rescue a kidnapped TJ (Tequan Richmond), Sonny wound up shot in the chest by an unknown assailant -- the same person who has been hijacking his shipments and trying to move in on his territory. Now, as he struggles to hang on and live to see his wedding day, the attack on him can be the catalyst to a huge secret finally being revealed.
Jake/Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) were coming back from Wyndemere at the time the shots rang out, and after Jake lunged to protect Sam, he went off to investigate. He will happen upon the scene and come to Sonny's rescue -- potentially ending Sonny's wariness and dislike of him. However, the moments will also cause Jake to have more flashbacks and memories of his life as Jason, which haven't come back to him in a while.
Sonny Confronts His Unknown Enemy
Previous visions that made him think of a life with Sam were attributed to the device Helena had implanted in his brain to make him do her bidding. And when he flashed back to memories with his son, little Jake, he kept them to himself. Now, when he rescues Sonny, he will be bombarded with old memories of the times when he rescued him in the past-and when he starts piecing all of the small pieces together, he will slowly come to the realization that he is Jason Morgan.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
