Kim Richards' ex-husband, Monty Brinson, explained how they met in an elaborate post on Instagram on Monday morning.

Decades after the end of their three-year marriage, Brinson recalled the first moments of his relationship with the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
"I don't remember the actual date but I was supposed to go with Robin Williams that evening to meet John Belushi at the Roxy. The night he passed away. A sad night for many," Brinson wrote. "But mutual friends had been trying to set us up on a date."

"She picked the Palms restaurant cause of her love of lobster. In her mind she would have dinner and that would be it," he continued. "It was awkward cause I'm shy and we probably spoke about for 10 minutes lol but as we were leaving she asked me if I would like to join her and her mother and friends."
"After a month I woke up one morning and decided I wanted to buy a Ferrari and she came along," Brinson revealed. "At the Ferrari Dealership I found the car I wanted. I think she was joking saying wouldn't it be nice if we got two matching Ferrari's and we could ride side beside each other on sunset. Her eyes were sparking. My crazy self started thinking and I'm a spontaneous person decided that would be fun. So I wrote a check and we rode down sunset in matching Ferrari's and the rest is history and she gave me one of the three greatest gifts in life my daughter Brooke."
Richards and Brinson divorced in 1988 but remain close friends.
