The Discovery channel will be launching its third episode of "Amish Mafia," which is titled "Devil Comes Calling" on Wednesday night. The reality show has garnered big ratings in lieu of its popular predecessor, TLC's "Breaking Amish," as it essentially paved the way for the felt-hat wearing vigilante mafia faction.

The upcoming installment of the show will feature the Amish Mafia's Jolin in a fisticuffs battle for respect as he enters the Amish version of the modern day octagon. Through his unsanctioned battle, he will seek to win money and sustain the mafia's stronghold on the Lancaster community.

Discovery recently released the following synopsis on the episode:

"Amish Mafia boss Lebanon Levi and his crew run a secret MMA barn fight. Mafia soldier Jolin must do battle and win, to bring in money and maintain respect for the crew."

While the Amish group is known to reject modern technology luxuries such as cars and electricity, the Amish boss actually drives around in a Cadillac.

The enforcers spend most of their time assisting in maintaining proper conduct amid a religious community by doing justice that the local church can't afford to be associated with. When the going gets rough, the fixers look to gain retribution.

Tough guy antics aside, the fixers are seen locally as quiet, quaint and honest. They are also known by many for the handmade goods that they make, as well as organic foods.

Early warnings posted on the screen state that the show has "select re-enactments" and that "re-creations are based on eyewitness accounts, testimonials and the legend of the Amish Mafia."

Another disclaimer reads that the "The Amish church denies the existence of the Amish Mafia."

Michael Levine stated that "Reality television and the Amish are really a match made in TV heaven," according to ABC News.

Although "Amish Mafia" is surely entertaining, the reality series does possess a fictional feel that's reinforced by its clumsy confrontations, which are seemingly "stiff and awkward even for Amish country," said The New York Times.

"Amish Mafia" airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on the Discovery channel.
