Toya Bush-Harris is defending her actions after her Married To Medicine co-star Mariah Huq made an epic return and called out the ladies for not being sympathetic when she went through a tragedy.

Huq said she found out who her real friends were when she suffered a miscarriage of twins earlier this year.

Not too long after that, she had a cancer scare. While she wasn’t on the best terms with her cast members, who actually tried to vote her off the series, she was hit with the harsh reality of how close she was not to the ladies when many of them, including Harris, didn’t reach out after her loss.

Harris made it clear on the show Sunday night that she didn’t contact Huq right away because they aren’t friends. But she also took to her Bravo blog to explain even further why she didn’t think reaching out was appropriate.

“Calling someone, sending flowers, and doting on someone whom you are not only not in contact with, but also have had recent conflict with, would be insincere,” she wrote in a Friendship class styled blog Tuesday. “I would not expect anyone who would not call me to wish me well on Monday to call me for a hug on Wednesday just because Tuesday was rough.”

She added that she thought “it would be worse for me to reach out in a fake way” before pointing out that Huq’s family didn’t reach out when her father-in-law died.

“You get the message,” she wrote.
