Season 21 sashayed onto the scene Monday night with some stellar performances from ABC's latest pairs.

Wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin and Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter emerged as the clear leaders during the premiere. Each celebrity managed to snag the highest score of the evening - a 24. Partnered with Sharna Burgess, Carter pulled in the points for his cha-cha-cha while Bindi and Derek Hough wowed with their jive.

Not every one had quite as a successful evening, however. The lowest score of the night came from reality star Kim Zolciak Biermann and Tony Dovolani when they bottomed out at 12 points. Chaka Khan and Keo Motsepe didn't do much better with their 13-point cha-cha-cha.

Fifteen, however, was the most popular score. Victor Espinoza and Karina Smirnoff, Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel, and Gary Busey and Sharna Burgess all landed the mediocre score.

Who will be the first couple to fall? Will it be the struggling 12-point TV star or will Biermann earn the chance show how much she can improve? Find out more when Dancing with the Stars resumes Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
