'Dancing With the Stars' 2015 Cast: Bindi Irwin & Nick Carter Become Official Frontrunners In Premiere Night? [VIDEO]
Dancing With the Stars season 21 premiered Monday night and two major frontrunners seemed to emerge.
Do You Think Gary Busey Or Someone Else Will Be The First 'DWTS' Celeb Eliminated?
Based on last night's performances, we are looking at two celebrities as real contenders for the Mirrorball trophy. One is Bindi Irwin, the 17-year-old daughter of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, who is partnered with Derek Hough. The other is Nick Carter, a beloved member of the Backstreet Boys who is partnered with Sharna Burgess.
Bindi and Carter tied for the highest score of the night, each receiving a 24 out of 30 from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli.

Bindi's positive energy shined in her first performance with Hough, dancing the Jive to the very apt "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John. Meanwhile, Carter's experience as a entertainer showed in his Cha-cha-cha set to "I Don't Like It, I Love It" by Flo Rida.
Other contenders hot on their tails included Tamar Braxton & Val Chmerkovskiy, Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson and Alexa PenaVega & Mark Ballas. Assuming any of those celebrities continue to improve, they could be serious threats to Bindi and Carter.
Meanwhile, many celebs had relatively poor performances in premiere night. Celebs like Victor Espinoza, Chaka Khan, Paula Deen, Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Gary Busey will have to work extra hard to even have a shot of contending for the Mirrorball trophy. Two celebs will be eliminated next week.
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
