Adrienne Bailon has opened up about her shocking split on her talk show The Real and revealed what caused her to call off her engagement after seven months.

Fans suspected something was up when Bailon wasn’t seen wearing her engagement ring in photos over the summer. While many questioned if that meant she and record executive Lenny Santiago had gone their separate ways, she waited until The Real returned for its second season this week to confirm the breakup.
She started by letting fans know that they “keep it real” with the good news and the bad news.
“It’s been a very hard decision to make. The girls have known this. These are my true friends and my sisters and they’ve been with me through this journey…”
She went on to thank her co-hosts Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai for letting her take the time she needed to figure things out. She added that she didn’t want to put a “damper” on the show as it was “such a blessing” to return for a sophomore season.
She said she had an, “Eat, pray, love journey” that she went on over the summer which opened her eyes to what she wanted for herself and her future.
“It was a time for me to come to terms with my own truth and my honesty. I am not engaged anymore. We’re in a good place, it’s not an ‘aww’ thing I promise you. We’re gonna be good friends forever.”
