This time, it’s for none other than singer and now reality star Toni Braxton. The network has been given the go-ahead to make the film that’s slated to be called Un-Break My Heart.
While they have been accused of dropping the ball on biopics in the past (such as Whitney about Whitney Houston and Princess Of R&B that told the life story of late singer Aaliyah), this one has a little more hope as it’s based on Braxton’s own accounts from her memoir.

On top of that, Deadline revealed Tuesday that Braxton will actually star in it and have a role as producer.
A synopsis reveals, “Named for her 1996 smash single, Un-Break My Heart is the authorized life story of Braxton, who has fought through a severe chronic illness, financial troubles and divorce while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles. The telefilm is also executive produced by Craig Baugmarten (Twist Of Faith), Eric Kritzer (The Runaround) and marcus Grant; written by Susan McMartin (Mom, Two And A Half Men); and produced by Link Entertainment.
It will definitely be interesting to see the family dynamics of the film considering Braxton and her four sisters as well as their parents currenty star on WeTV’s Braxton Family Values; so we have gotten the chance to know them since the show premiered back in 2010. It’s not clear if they will be a part of the biopic as well.
