Since miscarrying she seems to have been making poor decisions, which could have to do with her bipolar disorder.
She has lied to her daughter Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and her latest lover Dylan (Steve Burton) due to irrational thoughts.

In the teaser for the episode airing today, Sept. 17, it seems as though her ex-husband Nick (Joshua Morrow) will give her encouragement to go to a mental health facility until she feels as though she is stable again since she has admitted to going off her medications recently.
"Are you saying I should check myself into a facility?" Sharon asks Nick for guidance in the clip below.
"At least until you get the situation stabilized," he suggests.
According to Soaps, Dylan will agree to this plan since he wants what is best for Sharon and their baby. She apparently will be leaving to go to the mental health facility immediately.
Also in the teaser for today's episode, Gwen (Nadine Nicole) will slap Neil (Kristoff St. John) for his lying.
Plus, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will encounter Ian Ward (Ray Wise) once more in the woods and in the clip he'll "confess" why he's out there.
The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
