On Friday, Carter Matt shared a synopsis for the third episode of the sixth season when a journalist named Lorenzo Colt is targeted during a ride-along with Jamie and Eddy. Lorenzo will be wearing NYPD gear so Danny and Baez will have to be on the lookout for who the shooter is. As it turns out, the person with the gun might be looking for others involved with the force so the detectives are going to have to be extra careful.
Meanwhile, Garrett will contemplate taking another job, but it's unclear how that will turn out.

It was also revealed from Yahoo! TV that a man named Owen will come aboard the series where his fancy Mustang goes missing. Owen's wife may have arranged for this to happen so the detectives will have more tasks to perform in the future.
Owen will be played by ER actor Anthony Edwards.
"We offered [the role] to Anthony, our first choice, because he's a terrific actor with an innate talent for drawing empathy and relatability from the audience," executive producer Kevin Wade said. "We are thrilled that he's joining us for this story."
This particular episode is expected to air in November.
Blue Bloods Season 6 premieres on Friday, September 25 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
