The co-host of The View and The Witches of East End alum will be gracing the detective show with their presence.

News of Goldberg's addition was made by E!Online. The actress will be playing on the wrong side of the law. Her character Janette Grayson, is a Department of Child Services supervisor who is alleged to have botched reports. These fake reports threaten the lives of the children in the department's care.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Madsen will be taking on the role of Beth Anne, Rollins' mother, who is "very protective" of her daughter.

Showrunner Warren Lieght also spoke about Madsen's character to THR. "In theory, Amanda Rollins is her successful daughter. [She's] college-educated, a detective, moved to New York, so of course the mother likes the daughter who has a warrant out for her arrest, has been involved with very sketchy men and has run her life into the ground," Leight said. "Beth Anne Rollins thinks that daughter can't make mistake and Amanda has turned her back on the family."

Meanwhile, in other guest star related news, after Taylor Swift expressed her fandom for Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Hargitay has already reached out about bringing the pop sensation on Law & Order: SVU.

In a recent interview with ET, Hargitay revealed that she had actually spoken to Swift about the possibility of her guest starring in the NBC procedural. "We just talked about it," Hargitay said. "We're going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it's in the air."

Season 17 of Law & Order: SVU will premiere on Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. (ET).
