Karina Smirnoff's new Dancing With the Stars partner Victor Espinoza may have stumbled out of the gate, but she is still staying positive.
Which Two Celebs Will Be Eliminated From 'Dancing With the Stars'?
Espinoza and Smirnoff received a 15 out of 30 from the judges in premiere night last Monday, giving them one of the lowest scores of the night. Still, Smirnoff is focused on the future.
Smirnoff wrote to People about her and Espinoza's first dance and more.

"Even though we only scored a 15 out of 30 last week, I think Victor and I did what we hoped to accomplish: entertain," she wrote.
As for this week, Smirnoff wants to showcase other facets to her jockey partner.
"Now that we have the first show under our belt, it is time to start peeling back the layers and showing different sides of him," she wrote. "This week is Hometown Glory Week, so these are very special dances. On Monday, the dances will focus on the celebrities' stories, and on Tuesday the audience will get to learn more about the pro dancers' lives."
But will Espinoza and Smirnoff make it out of this week? As noted, the couple received very low scores from the judges so unless America really votes for him, he's in grave danger of going home. There are two eliminations this week so Espinoza has to step it up big time to survive.
Dancing With the Stars airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT, featuring the first elimination of the season, then Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT featuring the second elimination.
