Deadline recently reported that the high-profile writers room set up to brainstorm ideas for the sequels and prequels to Transformers: Age of Extinction has finally wrapped work.

Unicron To Play Villain In Transformers 5?

According to the report, two concrete storylines have emerged from the workshop. One of which will focus on Cybertron as an origin story. This is going to be animated feature helmed by Ant-Man writers Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. Head writer Akiva Goldsman has got the blueprint for Transformers 5 and is going to begin writing it.

While little is known about how the Cybertron story will evolve, we are guessing it's going to pick up from the end of Age of Extinction, which showed Optimus Prime heading off to Cybertron in search of his creators. So this might be a movie in itself, and not a parallel storyline in Transformers 5 as was being speculated before.

Will Megan Fox Join The Age of Extinction Sequel?

The writing team that was led by Goldsman, featured Christina Hodson (The Fugitive), Lindsey Beer (Dig), Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), Jeff Pinker (Lost), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man), Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

The writing team of Transformers 5 had been hard at work to get everything ready so that Bay can hit the ground running after he finishes his other project, Benghazi.

The trailer for 13 Hours: The Soldiers of Benghazi was recently unveiled which means the director is ready now for Transformers 5. Additionally in a recent interview one of the writers for the movie, hinted at the fact that they had readied the plot for the next movie. It seems like things will move into overdrive now as Bay enters the creative process.
