The third season of The Originals hasn't aired yet, but there's already some chatter on a possible renewal.

What's Next For Klaus & Elijah On 'The Originals?'

On Tuesday, TV By The Numbers mentioned a few shows on The CW and if they stand a chance of being renewed for an extra season. As it turns out, The Originals apparently has a pretty high rate of getting a fourth season saying it's a "sure bet." There are 44 episodes to its credit and is produced by Warner Bros., giving it better renewal odds.

The site mentioned two other shows that are basically a half and half chance for new episodes after the third season. Reign and The 100 may last longer than that, but right now the odds are not as strong as they are for The Originals.

'The Originals' Season 3 Is Going To Be 'Insane'

Meanwhile, Yusuf Gatewood who plays Vincent on the creepy drama told Showbiz Junkies that third season will be unlike anything from the past as new characters come in- some more evil than others.

"This is almost like a new series that we're being presented with," Gatewood said. "I think that was the intention of [producers] Julie [Plec] and Michael [Narducci] when they set about setting up this season. We've got new characters coming in. we've got big bads- plural- coming in. We're going to see some of the first vampires that the Originals sired. There's going to be some conflict with that."

The Originals Season 3 premieres on Thursday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
