The death of E'dena Hines is about to take a scandalous turn.

Lamar Davenport Was Reportedly On Cocaine During Alleged Murder

On Tuesday, TMZ reported that Lamar Davenport, who's been accused of murdering Hines, has pled not guilty to killing her. He's been in psychiatric hold since the death took place last August.

This comes as a pretty big shock since prosecutors say they saw Davenport on top of Hines in the middle of the street as she was being stabbed up to 25 times, according to the D.A. Initial reports say it was 15 times.

The site didn't mention anything about a trial or where Davenport's future will be held from here.

According to a previous post from New York Post, the alleged killer was witnessed in what appeared to be some sort of exorcism on Hines. He was allegedly saying, "Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out!"

Hines is the step-granddaughter of actor Morgan Freeman. After her death, he released a statement on how lovely a person she was.

"The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer," Freeman's statement reads. "Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."

Hines was 33 when she died on August 16.
