It looks like Draya’s exit as well as a rumored decline in popularity wasn’t enough to stop Basketball Wives LA from securing a new season!
VH1 announced the news with a press release Wednesday and made it clear that the show is “taking no timeouts.”

In fact, when it comes to ratings, the show is actually soaring, not going down, according to the release.
“The fourth season of ‘Basketball Wives: LA’ has made VH1 the #1 cable network on average in the Sunday 9PM time period with Women 18-34.”
It adds, “Season for was explosive. Draya Michele, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi maxi ell, and Jackie Christie returned to the court ready for drama. And Queen Bee and Executive Producer, Shaunie O’Neal joined the LA crew this season to try to keep peace.”
Of course they ended up sparking up more drama along with Jackie’s friend Mehgan James and Eddy Curry’s wife Patrice Curry who joined the cast. Draya’s addition of Angel Brinks was also a success, as she stayed on even after Draya left the show.
The release goes on with, “even Shaunie realized that the LA ladies are very challenging in the group. When her old time East coat buddy, Tami Roman, joined the cast, the Basketball WIves: Miami/LA cast divide was set in stone.”
We saw that divison play out on the show Sunday night. See more when Basketball Wives LA airs Sunday at 9/8c on VH1. The reunion is also set to air October 11 at 9/8c.
