George Clooney might have waited a very long time to finally settle down and marry the love of his life, but did he wait too long to start a family? That's what a new report suggests as apparently the actor is "too old" while his wife Amal Clooney is "too skinny" to conceive a baby on their own.

According to Star Magazine's print edition (via Celebrity Dirty Laundry) on Sunday, even though George and Amal are doing their best to defy their odds, there's a slim chance that they'll be able to get pregnant the natural way.

A source told the publication, "George's age is causing some concern in the baby-making process, and there are fears that his little swimmers are too old to make the swim. But at the not-so-tender age of 54, the actor may have challenges ahead in the procreation department, meaning his prime baby-making years being long-gone might affect their desire for a baby."

The insider added, "George's age combined with his wife Amal's super skinny and borderline unhealthy body means that producing a mini Clooney-Alamuddin baby is proving much harder than they anticipated."

What's more, George and Amal are reportedly willing to spend millions of dollars to make their baby dreams come true, even if that means they'll be spending the next several years visiting fertility clinics and IVF treatment centers before finally landing a bun in Amal's oven.

The couple is currently celebrating their one-year anniversary, after tying the knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Venice this time last year.
