'Walking Dead' Season 3 SPOILERS: Andrea A Pawn In Future Rick vs The Governor Battle? (VIDEO)
While many television programs will be returning this week, fans of AMC's hit "The Walking Dead" will have to wait a short while longer.
Despite the show's current winter hiatus, the network continues to put out tidbits on what lies ahead for the second half of season three. Although the promos that have been posted don't exactly paint a full picture in terms of clear-cut storylines, the latest teaser does seem to indicate just how severe the group's obstacles may get, especially in terms of the obvious battle brewing between Rick and the Governor.
The spoiler footage seems to indicate that Andrea will play a key component in the third season's remaining episodes with her true loyalties appearing to be tested. Now in a romantic relationship with the shady Governor, she will most likely have to decide between the town of Woodbury and Rick's group, not including Michonne.
Andrea can be seen heading toward the prison with her hands up in the air. However, the question is whether she is going there for a peace offering with Rick, or is her approach simply a ploy for the Governor to get what he wants when the group puts down its guard.
Another noteworthy instance in the clip is that Carl tells his dad to "stop being the leader." The rapidly maturing youngster's words hint at the strong possibility that he may indeed step up to the position to lead the group.
In terms of Carl, there was also footage of him that may reveal a potential young romance with Beth. However, Beth is also seen giving Rick a smooth on the cheek, which could make the situation complicated.
"The Walking Dead" season three will return to AMC on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 9 p.m.
