During her chat, which took place on the series' official Facebook page, Messer was confronted by fans who wanted to know why she continued to deny her alleged drug problem, even after seeking treatment during season six.
"Treatment isn’t only for addiction," Messer explained to fans, according to a Starcasm report on Wednesday. "Treatment facilities aren’t just for addicts. Jeremy knew where I was going and why, but I could not be open with Corey because anything and everything was tried to be used against me in a negative light even if it was for the better.

"I tried to defend myself without confrontation, but no matter what I done or said their minds were set on their own opinions," Messer continued.
As the chat went on, Messer focused on the positive comments, and revealed she's doing much better since attending a 30-day program in Arizona.
"I don’t know what I would do without therapy and all of the coping skills I have learned!" she explained. "I believe therapy will allow me to help my daughters handle any circumstance they run into much better than I had at first... I wish I would have went to a treatment facility after my first divorce."
