There have been several rumors swirling regarding Brooks Ayers and The Real Housewives of Orange County season 10 reunion.

However, while many have claimed Ayers wasn't invited to participate in filming on the special, a new source has since spoken out, confirming the former boyfriend of Vicki Gunvalson was asked to attend the reunion, but was unable due to a work commitment.

“Brooks absolutely would have been welcomed at the reunion,” a source close to production told Real Mr. Housewife on Friday. “Brooks had a work commitment that had been scheduled for some time, and thus was unable to attend the reunion. Due to this, Andy had Brooks come out and tape the one on one.”

While Ayers reportedly filmed his one-on-one with Andy Cohen weeks ago, the women of the cast, including Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador and Meghan King Edmonds, taped their special on Thursday in Los Angeles.

At this point, it is unclear whether or not Ayers' special with Cohen will be featured as a Watch What Happens Live special, or whether it will air along with The Real Housewives of Orange County season 10 reunion in the next several weeks.
