On Sunday, Lavigne took to her Instagram page to announce that she and her separated husband are back in the studio writing music together. The photo shows the singer on her guitar as she wears a cowboy hat.

Lavigne announced on Instagram that she and Kroeger have separated after two years of marriage. In a photo from their wedding day, she mentioned that she and the Nickleback singer will still remain "the best of friends" where she thanked everyone for all the support.

According to E! News, the reason for the split was due to the fact that it just didn't work out in the long run.
"At the end of the day, they just didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things," a source said. "Their friends and their circles never really mixed."
