The newest sneak peek of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In reveals just how well her daughters are coping in her absence.

Andy Cohen gave us a new look at what we can expect to see in the premiere set to air Sunday Oct. 11 on the network. In the clip, the oldest Giudice daughter, 14-year-old Gia, has a phone conversation with Teresa, who is serving time in federal prison after she and her husband Joe Giudice pleaded guilty to several serious fraud charges.

Teresa begins the phone call with, “Hi Gia. Hi sweetheart. How are you?”

Gia immediately smiles and also says hi to her mother as the camera reveals Joe and the other daughters are sitting nearby.

Teresa also tells Gia, “You know I love you.”

It looks like Gia is getting ready for an important event as she has a face full of makeup, which Teresa asks about. But that causes Gia's smiles to turn into tears as she wipes her eyes while Teresa asks if she is near “Nonna and Nonno.”

Gia later told cameras in a confessional, “Mom doesn’t want me or anyone to get emotional. So I try my best to keep it all together.”

Take a look below.

Teresa is slated to be released in late December, just before Christmas. Still, the family is not quite close to being back to normal as Joe is set to serve his three-year sentence shortly after her release.
