Taylor Swift, Harry Styles Virgin Gorda Holiday After NYE
After sharing a kiss in New York City's Times Square on New Year's Eve, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles flew to the Virgin Islands for their first 2013 vacation together.
Fans saw the couple on Virgin Gorda on Jan. 3 and the pop singers posed for pictures on the island, described as an "exotic blend of Asian and Latin cuisines with creative twists," Entertainment Wise reported.
The vacation sighting is the latest in a list of public appearances the couple has made since they started dating in the fall. Most recently, they were videotaped sharing a kiss and hug on New Year's Eve.
Swift performed two songs on stage in NYC for the broadcast event "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" but moments before the clock struck 2013, the 23-year-old was standing among the crowd with Styles. In a video posted later online, the two are shown sharing a New Year's kiss and hug to the tunes of "Auld Lang Syne" and the Frank Sinatra classic "New York, New York."
Days before Christmas they were spotted at a ski resort in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Swift celebrated her 23rd birthday on Dec. 13 by touring England with Styles. They visited local pubs, Styles' family and were even photographed together in the One Direction singer's native country.
An insider told Reveal magazine the main strain on the couple's relationship is the distance, with Swift based in the U.S. and Styles as part of 1D hailing from the U.K.
"Taylor really wants them to stand the test of time, but she doesn't see how it could work if they weren't at least in the same country," the insider said. "Taylor has fallen for Harry big time but she's realistic enough to know they may not last if it's a long-distance relationship. "She keeps telling Harry she can't bear being apart from him, and he's so smitten with her that he's already started looking at ways to make moving to America work."
