Taylor Swift & Harry Styles Dating: 1D Singer Will Move To America For Her, Source Says
Taylor Swift celebrated her 23rd birthday in England with her boyfriend Harry Styles and the couple has been spotted all over the U.S. However, a source revealed the couple's relationship is strained because the country singer is based in America while Styles and his band One Direction hail from the United Kingdom.
The couple, who began dating in the fall, were spotted together at a ski resort in Utah, photographed in a tattoo parlor in Los Angeles and backstage at a filming for "The X Factor," and shared a kiss and hug on New Year's Eve in New York's Times Square. Though it is hard to deny the two are romantically involved (neither singer has addressed the rumors), Swift doubts the relationship is long-term, an insider told Reveal magazine.
"Taylor really wants them to stand the test of time, but she doesn't see how it could work if they weren't at least in the same country," the source said. "Taylor has fallen for Harry big time but she's realistic enough to know they may not last if it's a long-distance relationship."
On the other hand, the source added that Styles is so invested in the relationship that he might be willing to make a grand gesture and move for his girlfriend and "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer. Styles has traveled many times in the past few months to America and reportedly, much of it has been because of Swift and his efforts to perhaps move to the States to help their relationship.
"She keeps telling Harry she can't bear being apart from him, and he's so smitten with her that he's already started looking at ways to make moving to America work," the insider added. "Harry's so mad about her that he'll do anything to keep her happy, and if moving to the US is what it takes to show her he's in the relationship for keeps, he will make the move."
Both singers go on tour in 2013 so a permanent move of residence might be on hold, though nothing has been confirmed. One Direction goes on a world tour starting in London in February and will perform in cities across Europe and North America before ending their concert tour in Los Angeles in August. Swift will begin her tour in March and perform into the summer. Her last tour performance is expected to be in Nashville in September.
