'Basketball Wives LA' Season 4 Cast: Ladies On Brandi Maxiell Being 'Boring', Tami Roman & Shaunie O'Neal Answer [VIDEO]
VH1 has dropped the first look at the explosive Basketball Wives LA reunion and it’s safe to say things get heated between Brandi Maxiell and Tami Roman. But the network has also released a clip that reveals their back-and-forth started before the ladies even hit the reunion set.
In the clip, Roman and the rest of the co-stars are asked if Maxiell is “boring.”
This was a huge question from the season as Draya Michele caught lots of heat for allegedly saying that Maxiell and her story line about being an ovarian cancer survivor were not juicy or exciting enough for the reality series. In fact, that statement is what caused Roman and Maxiell to go at it during the reunion as Roman said Draya’s (who opted out of taping the special) comments were taken out of context.
Still, before the reunion was even taped, Roman had a few things to say about Maxiell that might not air Sunday night.
Roman said, “I think in the context of the show, since Brandi has been on it, she has talked about cancer. I think Draya was trying to say, not as eloquently as she could have, what else do you have going on? So…Is she boring? She may be. Cancer is not.”
Shaunie O’Neal laughed at the question while Jackie Christie said, “Brandi has never been an interesting person to me…”
O’Neal added, “Brandi has to find Brandi. She tends to kind of feed off of Malaysia all the time; how Malaysia feels, what Malaysia says, where Malaysia goes.”
Christie echoed her sentiments and said “she follows Malaysia too much.”
Still, Malaysia Pargo made it clear that Maxiell is far from boring while Angel Brinks said her showing her marriage woes is “relatable.”
Mehgan James added Maxiell “speaks her mind.”
