With such a big number of new shows premiering each fall, it can be tough to suss out which ones are genuinely worth watching and which ones are a waste of your time. And in a fall season chock full of shows that have so far been unsurprisingly insane fun (Scream Queens) and as bad as we thought (looking at you, Minority Report), ABC's Sunday night drama Quantico is a genuine gem that’s highly worth watching each week.

The series follows a class of FBI recruits who find themselves thrown in the middle of a major mystery when one of them turns out to be a terrorist, but you may not be convinced by that twisty one line premise or the series trailer (which you can watch below).

In that case, here are the three main reasons you should start tuning in Sunday night:

Priyanka Chopra Leads A Diverse All-Star Cast

Chopra herself isn't yet a mainstream household name in the U.S., but she is a renowned actress in Bollywood. She brings amazing depth to protagonist Alex Parrish, the recruit that authorities believe is responsible for the terrorist attack and has to clear her name by finding the real mastermind.

While Chopra herself is a breath of fresh air, the entire cast is still pretty impressive. Jake McLaughlin from Believe, Josh Hopkins from Cougar Town, Aunjanue Ellis from The Mentalist, Tasmine Al Massri from Crossbones, Johanna Braddy from UnREAL, Tate Ellington from The Mindy Project, Graham Rogers from Revolution, Rick Cosnett from The Flash, and Jacob Artist from Glee are all part of the show's extensive cast, bringing an intense amount of diversity in both culture and talent, giving the show a bit more of a melting pot quality.

Every Character’s Backstory & Possible Motive Is Explored

Hey, remember how Lost built up an incredible array of in depth characters by devoting half of each episode to telling their fictional history? Well, Quantico’s writers do too. Each episode looks back into what motivated each recruit to join the FBI originally -- revealing that they all harbor deep dark secrets in the process. These stories will play into the overall mystery as well -- who was behind the most devastating terrorist attack on New York City since 9/11? And why are they framing Alex?

It Uses The Similar Format As Your Favorite ABC Shows From Last Season

Part of what made How To Get Away With Murder such a smash hit last fall was the extremely suspenseful plot that was full of unexpected twists and turns, keeping viewers guessing until the very end of the season as to who committed the murder. Secrets and Lies also followed a similar formula after its midseason debut, making it a breakout hit last spring. And Quantico follows suite, giving viewers small nuggets of information that’ll make them believe they know who’s the terrorist -- only to then twist it around on them again later and make them doubt their suspicions until the very end.

Quantico airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on ABC. So far it’s only two episodes in, which means you can log on to Hulu or ABC.com by 7:30 p.m. to catch up before tonight’s episode (with plenty of time to spare). If you miss that chance, you still have still plenty of time to catch up on all the previously aired episodes and then follow along to what’s probably the most addictive new show of the season.
