Lohan a 'No-Show; Lindsay Missed Fortune Teller Brawl Court Hearing in NYC
Lindsay Lohan was absent to her court appearance Monday morning in the case involving a bar fight with a fortune teller.
The 26-year-old "Liz & Dick" actress skipped her court date and is reportedly still in London where she has stayed since December.
According to OMG!, Lohan was charged on Nov. 29 with a third degree misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly punching Palm Beach psychic Tiffany Mitchell during an altercation at Avenue nightclub.
"It may very well be this case does not move forward...ironically a psychic fortune teller has predicted the year 2013 will be an extremely lucky year for Lindsay Lohan," said Mark Heller, Lohan's lawyer, on Monday, according to Us Weekly.
It is possible a warrant may be released for Lohan to appear in court, but no action from the judge has been reported so far.
Heller stated that the defense team has since drawn up some "very credible evidence and testimony" that would weaken Mitchell's case. This includes a statement from a witness that Lohan "did absolutely nothing wrong [and] had made no contact with the alleged victim."
This isn't the first time that Heller has taken a jab at Mitchell's job as a fortune teller.
"From my understanding, Lindsay was being approached by a fortune teller who sought to provide a reading to her and she politely said 'I don't want to participate' and declined," Heller said, according to ABC News. "You would think if [Mitchell] was a fortune teller, she would have been able to see this happening in advance. But obviously her skills weren't that honed."
Lohan also has a probation violation hearing to attend on Jan. 14 in California in relation to a car crash near Santa Monica in June where she reportedly gave false information to police as well as drove recklessly, according to NBC News.
