Mark Ruffalo's green rage monster may find his way into Thor's 2017 threequel, according to new rumors from JoBlo. Not only will Bruce Banner appear in the film, but the site also claims that the good doctor will have a "prominent" role.
Could this be Marvel's ingress into Planet Hulk? Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) access to the Bifrost Bridge and the Nine Realms could certainly permit this storyline, but there is currently no evidence to conclusively point in that direction.
The last time viewers saw Banner, he had made his Age of Ultron get away in a stolen Quinjet. It was later revealed that this particular vehicle was abandoned in the ocean and the Hulk's status was unknown. Banner could have easily survived a crash while in his monstrous form, but where did he go from there? If Captain America: Civil War doesn't answer that question this spring, hopefully Ragnarok will have the chance.
Thor: Ragnarok will hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
