Enstars Readers’ Choice Homecoming Court 2015 Tournament: Who Should Reign As Our Queen & Princess? Part 1 [POLLS]
Is there any autumn tradition more American than a high school homecoming? The returning alumni, the big game against the school rival, the dance and, of course, the homecoming court.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it goes like this: A high school student body nominates and then votes on a group of fellow students to be the king and queen of the homecoming, with the runners-up crowned as prince and princess (although sometimes, the elections are separated between upper and underclassmen). It's a high school community's celebration of itself by holding up those it sees as the embodiment of its very best (who are unveiled at the homecoming dance, natch).
Forget the prom king and queen, the homecoming court is where it's at!
And while we at Enstars may not be in high school anymore, we love the idea of having a homecoming court for our favorite young celebs. But why not mix it up and have the candidates (or more accurately, their fans) square off against one-on-one? So we decided to host our very first Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court Tournament.
Below is the girls, part one. You can find part two here. And head over here to vote for part one and here for part two for the guys.
Voting closes at 6 p.m. EDT on October 29th.
Here we have 16 of 32 female celebrities to vie for the titles of queen and princess in our Homecoming Court 2015 Tournament with their respective polls. At the end of each round we'll share the results and continue with the next round until we have our Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court 2015 decided.
Female Contenders For Queen & Princess
1. Taylor Swift vs. Natalie La Rose
Swift practically rules the world especially in music right now. She's fierce and has always spoken her mind via tweet, song lyric, Tumblr post, etc. and she always listens to her fans and interacts with them so she'd totally make a great queen or princess.
La Rose is doing great with her music especially after coming off a hot summer tour opening for Fifth Harmony. We'd love to see her reign in our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015, wouldn't you?
Vote:
2. Selena Gomez vs. Camila Cabello
Gomez has reemerged as an artist with a new album called Revival and has opened up about her lupus diagnosis. She is a strong, admirable young lady so she has our vote for our queen or princess.
This 5H member is so passionate about life and love and just being herself. We totally support her as a candidate for our queen or princess since she stands for such good things.
Vote:
3. Bailee Madison vs. Leigh-Anne Pinnock
Madison is only 16, but she's wise beyond her years. Her social media movement proves that. We can totally see her ruling as our queen or princess.
This Little Mix member is full of life and energy, which are endearing qualities to possess. We think Pinnock is totally up for the challenge in ruling our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015 as our queen or princess.
Vote:
4. Bryana Salaz vs. Gigi Hadid
From The Voice to joining Sweet Suspense and now embarking on an acting journey through FOX's Urban Cowboy, Salaz is quite the entertainer. She is passionate in all that she does and we think she'd serve well as our queen or princess.
Hadid is a stunning model and is part of Swift's star-studded Squad. Plus, she's dating DNCE's Joe Jonas, which is also pretty sweet. Hadid is a well-rounded candidate since she can stand on her own as well as being supportive and supported by her celebrity pals.
Vote:
5. Lauren Jauregui vs. Maia Mitchell
Jauregui is another 5H member that stands for good things. We personally love that she's a young adult that pays close attention to politics since it does affect her and others and while it's not a requirement, we appreciate that Jauregui cares, which certainly means she'd care about her homecoming subjects if she were to attain the role of our queen or princess.
This actress can sing and dance her way into our hearts since she not only can showcase her dramatic acting skills on The Fosters, but she can really entertain the masses with her starring role in the Disney Channel's musical movies Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach 2. We love how multifaceted Mitchell is so shall she reign?
Vote:
6. Jesy Nelson vs. Summer Reign
Nelson is another Little Mix member and like her bandmates we think she totally has what it takes to rule our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015. Plus, who wouldn't want the future Mrs. Jake Roche leading the way? The Rixton lads are pretty rad and we adore how cute Nelson and Roche are together.
This Sweet Suspense member is so passionate and driven! She has never once given up on her dreams of being an entertainer despite the setback of being eliminated during her season of The X Factor USA alongside her bandmates.
Vote:
7. Rowan Blanchard vs. Maddie Ziegler
Girl Meets World star Blanchard is so much more than Riley on the hit Disney Channel show. The young star stands for important causes such as feminism and likes talking about them on her social media platforms, which helps spread awareness. We think she'd be a queen or princess willing to discuss all issues and while earning a spot in our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015 is more fun than anything else it's nice to know Blanchard cares about important issues in the world.
This young dancer brings electricity to all of her routines. We would love for her to rule as our queen or princess and even dazzle us with her dance moves at our Enstars Homecoming Dance 2015.
Vote:
8. Bea Miller vs. Ariana Grande
Miller isn't your typical pop star; she goes against the grain and we love how fearless she is. She can totally rule as our queen or princess, right?
Grande proved with her donut-licking scandal that anyone can mess up big time, but she owned up to the mistake, which is commendable. Plus, the girl has killer pipes, which we wouldn't mind hearing at our Enstars Homecoming Dance 2015.
