The two called it quits a long time ago, but it seems that Swift's lyrics for her 1989 album song "Out of the Woods" might be about the One Direction singer. According to Tuesday's report from People, some of the words from the song are pretty convenient for what was happening with Styles. He got into a snowmobile accident before and part of the song's lyrics say, "Remember when you hit the brakes too soon?/ Twenty stitches in the hospital room."
Swift, herself, opened up on how she came up with the idea for this song where she recalled a past relationship that became public news too much.

"Hearing this track, it just kind of conjured up all these feelings of anxiety that I had had in a relationship where everybody was watching, everybody was commenting on it," she said. "You're constantly just feeling like, are we out of the woods yet? What's the next thing gonna be? What's the next hurdle we're gonna have to jump over? Are we gonna make it to next week?"
The pop star added how she was in a romance that probably wouldn't last, but made her wonder how long it could.
"Those fragile relationships, it doesn't mean they're not supposed to happen," she said. "How the whole time we were having happy memories or ridiculously anxious times, in my head it was just like, are we okay yet, are we there yet, are we out of this yet?"
Swift did not mention if this was a direct reference towards Styles or not.
