In an interview with Ailurophelle on Saturday, a drag performer known as BibleGirl666 talked about how she got into this kind of act and how she was motivated to be a part of the Logo TV reality competition. When she first started with drag, being on RuPaul was a big motivator, but is it something she's still looking to accomplish?
"I go back and forth with that," BibleGirl admitted. "Right now, I am leaning more towards no, not because of the show, but because of the culture. Even though I haven't been on Drag Race, I feel I have sort of been wrapped up in it. People take it very seriously and it has already put a huge target on my back. As someone who already feels a lot of anxiety and societal pressures, I am not sure if I am ready to have an even bigger target on my back."

Even though the performer is focusing on her own work as a drag queen, that doesn't necessarily mean she won't try to be part of the series in the future.
"My booking fee might be a little lower or things might happen a lot slower, but they're still happening," BibleGirl said. Maybe when I get to the point where I have a better repertoire under my belt, the time will come correctly, but for now it is not my biggest priority."
RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8 is expected to premiere in spring 2016 on Logo TV.
