When it comes to Donald Trump, it seems like the media is getting mixed messages. Although the presidential hopeful has stated that he "loves women" and would help women's causes and issues if he is elected President of the United States, many of his critics are still calling him a misogynist with a "huge problem" with the female population.

Those that are parked in Camp Trump though say that the critiques are simply untrue, as his own daughter Ivanka Trump has come out of the woodworks to support her famous father on the campaign trail. Donald has said in the past that he simply adores Ivanka, and now she is defending him and his comments against women in the media.

Describing how the Republican candidate doesn't pick and choose who his targets are, Ivanka says that most of her father's problems is perhaps because he doesn't put much thought into what he says before he speaks.

Speaking to Fortune Magazine, Ivanka said, "Look, my father is very blunt. He's very direct. He is not gender specific in his criticism of people, and people that he doesn't particularly like or people that he does like but thinks they're wrong on a particular issue. So I don't think that he's gender-targeted at all. I wouldn't be the person I am today, I wouldn't be a high-level executive within his organization if he felt that way."

As far as how she feels about her father's campaign, Ivanka admits that it's a "complicated" matter.

She explained, "I'm proud of him, but it's a very difficult thing to do. My father has achieved tremendous success and he's not a politician but he's changing the dialogue and disrupting the process in a very meaningful way. The level of interest and scrutiny is beyond anything you have experienced."
