Downton Abbey is surprisingly going to get super gory.

'Not Everyone Will Have A Happy Ending' On 'Downton Abbey'

While the show has taken on a number of shocking scenes, there's one in particular that's really captivated audiences who have seen a certain episode that has yet to air in the United States. According to Sunday's report from Radio Times, Robert Crawley's stomach illness is about to be shown for what it really is during a dinner party.

Apparently, an ulcer burst causing Robert to vomit blood not just all over the white tablecloth, but all over the guests' faces as well. The site said this scene is "startling and shocking."

Will The Mystery Of Mr. Green's Death Be 'Resolved' On 'Downton Abbey?'

"Robert's been clutching his stomach in discomfort and complaining about how he can't drink port for weeks now," the report added. "We knew this was a storyline we hadn't seen the end of, but no one could have imagined it would all come out in the way it did."

While that's one frightening moment down, fans can expect some more craziness in the future. Joanne Froggatt (Anna) previously told E! News that viewers will see a lot of different genres on the series.

"We can expect all the things that everybody has come to know and love about 'Downton,'" Froggatt said. "There's drama, there's intrigue, there's romance, there's a bit of tragedy, not too much...but it's a great final season."

Downton Abbey Season 6 premieres in the United States on Sunday, January 3 on PBS.
