The Abby-centric (Pauley Perrette) episode of NCIS is airing tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 20!

Why Will Abby 'Go On The Offensive' In New 'NCIS' Episode?

In this fifth episode of the season, Abby will venture outside her own lab and into a pharmaceutical lab for a murder case, yet while there she will end up in lockdown since the building will be taken over by armed men.

The episode is appropriately called "Lockdown" and the NCIS YouTube channel has shared two sneak peeks into what viewers can expect from Abby and the rest of the NCIS team.

Which Former Flame Will Tony DiNozzo Reunite With This Season On 'NCIS'?

In the first sneak peek, which is below, viewers get a sense of why Abby is suddenly wanting to venture outside of her lab.

Abby will use pinkish/red balloons, a banner that states "GREATEST BOSS IN THE WORLD" and cupcakes to try to get Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to help her get what she wants: a new location for her lab.

Abby will ask Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) his thoughts on her gesture, which leads to him dishing, "I think that Gibbs cannot be bribed."

"I'm just politely asking for his help," Abby explains of her gifts to Gibbs that are placed nicely on his desk.

Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop (Emily Wickersham) will then join in on the conversation to learn that Abby has been inspired by Gibbs' sudden makeover.

"I'm ready for a change too," Abby reveals to DiNozzo, McGee and Bishop.

Abby will then explain she wants her lab to change.

"I have enjoyed a decade-plus of being below sea level, but I just imagine this view that doesn't include people's bunions," she declares in the clip.

DiNozzo then clarifies that Abby would like to take accounting's office space and they can go below sea level, but the people working in accounting aren't for the swap so Abby thinks getting Gibbs involved will help.

DiNozzo and the others don't think Gibbs could help at all and go on to describe him with rather negative adjectives, including "grumpiest".

In true Gibbs fashion he'll catch wind of what they're saying by showing up unnoticed.

Obviously later on Abby will get to venture outside of her lab to a different lab for help on a case, but it will lead to a scary situation, which plays out in the sneak peek below.

Abby will wind up in lockdown with Dr. Janice Brown (Lucy Davis).

Dr. Brown will freak out as the alarm sounds signaling the Ebola lab has a leak since Abby will realize she's "a bit of a germaphobe," but it turns out they are not dealing with a typical lockdown procedure as gunshots are suddenly heard and other people in the building are seen running for safety.

"I don't think everything's going to be fine," Dr. Brown then states.

Will Abby be able to channel Gibbs to get out of the situation and save the other people in the building?

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
