The relationships on Grey's Anatomy are spanning the gamut of being good and awful.

One relationship in particular that has been in quite the slump is the one between Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and Dr. April Kepner (Sarah Drew).

These two have hit quite a few rough patches since last season and they have not actually mended anything yet.

Williams dished to Parade recently about the future of the rocky relationship.

"I think that for the most part, the process is far more important than the end game," Williams said hinting that he is unsure if his character's relationship with April will end in divorce or not.

"Them having this real obstacle in front of them and really talking about it and really hearing each other and really learning about each other and learn about selflessness and what collaboration is and what marriage is. They need to learn how taking care of yourself at the cost of someone else is different than just taking care of yourself," he explained, adding, "If they were to break up, I wouldn't want that because I really like the work that we do together, Sarah and I. But if they do break up, I want them to have really exhausted it and tried and communicated."

It sounds like plenty of more relationship woes are coming to these characters in future episodes.

"And if I was a viewer, I want to see them really try, curse each other out and then at the end of the day, that would be a stronger relationship," Williams declared.

Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
