Taylor Swift Hints New Album May Be an Ode to Jake Gyllenhaal
Country singer Taylor Swift says her new album will be about crash-and-burn heartbreak, sparking speculation that it will be an ode to actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
"There's just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak and that will turn out to be what the next album is about," Swift told Vogue magazine for a cover issue.
"The only way that I can feel better about myself -- pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone -- is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity," she added.
The singer's last known relationship was with Gyllenhaal in late 2010. They dated for about three months until the actor ended the relationship.
Celebrity magazines reported that Gyllenhaal was unhappy with the media attention they caused.
The Grammy Award Winner is widely known for making songs out of her relationships with former boyfriends.
