The creator of Continuum has hinted a future for the series after the final episode.

The sci-fi series met its fate this month when Kiera made her way back home, but that doesn't necessarily mean the entire story is over. In an interview with Blastr on Monday, series creator Simon Barry implied how much he would love it if he could continue with the show in some other way.

"I would love to explore what happens to these characters after Continuum in other mediums," Barry said. "It's too early to say how that may happen, or what medium it might happen in, but the ability to build on the Continuum universe and mythology is not something that has to happen necessarily in TV or film form, but it might."

The creator added that he would like to hear from fans on what creative ideas they might have for the future. Whatever happens though, Barry mentioned one storyline in particular he would like to work on.

"Personally, I would love to write about Kellog in his new 'situation'-- that would be a fun book or graphic novel to write," he said. "I would also like to explore the story of the Traveler and the larger time-travel mythology myself and the other writers came up with but were unable to execute this season."

Since there were a few ideas that didn't make it to the series, Barry has hope they can be made it "other storytelling mediums."
