Leah Messer lost custody of her daughters, 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, earlier this month, but on Facebook, the terms reported don't appear to have taken place.

On Wednesday, In Touch Weekly reported news, claiming Messer had lost primary custody of her daughters to her ex-husband, Corey Simms, who would begin caring for the girls during the week, while Messer spent time with them on the weekends.

"Cheer halloween dress up night," Messer captioned a photo on Facebook on Thursday, Oct. 22, seemingly confirming she was with her daughters at the time.

Simms “was awarded primary custody, effective immediately” on Oct. 13, a source told In Touch Weekly. “Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now."

After Simms filed for full custody of the twins in 2014, Messer was targeted with drug rumors, and entered treatment for what she claimed were issues with anxiety and depression in May of this year.

“Leah’s really been screwing up since then, so Corey took her back to court. The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody,” the source explained.

In addition to her custody troubles with Simms, Messer's second husband may also file for full custody of 2-year-old Adalynn.

“If [Jeremy] can find [a job] nearby, he’ll go for the same custody arrangement that Corey did," the source explained.
