Leakes, who revealed via Instagram back in the summer that she would be walking away from the show, will make an appearance in the highly anticipated season after all.
After falling out with many of her co-stars, while making new and unlikely friendships with other cast members, Leakes has opened up about her shocking cameo.
Did NeNe Leakes’ Departure From ‘RHOA’ Hurt Her Friendship With Phaedra Parks?
Apparently it will be a “surprise attack” on the other women as they had no idea she would back; at least not so soon.
The ladies are still filming for the eighth season and right now are on an annual cast trip, in Jamaica. Insiders close to the production team has confirmed with E! News early Wednesday that this is where Leakes will pop up on co-stars. It’s not clear how many scenes she’ll have, but just to see the ladies’ reactions will be quite hilarious.
For starters, it’s safe to say Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams will be happy to see her. It’s not clear if the same can be said for Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey or even Kandi Burruss who has had her share of ups and downs with Leakes. It will also be interesting to see how she interacts with newcomer, Kim Fields.
Her pop-up might not be too much of a surprise. When she announced her departure, she said, “I’m not saying I’m gone forever. I’ll probably pop up and play with those girls every now and then.”
