'Basketball Wives LA' Cast: Mehgan James On Why She Didn't Fight, Spills 'Real Tea' On Drama We Didn't See [VIDEO]
Mehgan James might have been the new girl on VH1’s Basketball Wives LA but she’s no stranger to reality television — now she’s speaking out about drama with the other ladies and why she decided not to get physical despite her reputation as a fighter on Bad Girls Club on Oxygen.

Speaking with XXL magazine earlier this month, James revealed, “I’m really tryin got change my image. If you watch the show, I don’t lay a finger on nobody, because those [women] in Hollywood sue. I’m not going to jail for you h--s.”
Still, while it’s no secret that James had issues with the ladies from her first appearance in the latest season premiere, she shared the scoop on even more drama that went on behind-the-scenes.

“This is the real tea, though. When I first got on the show, nobody really respected me because they were like, ‘Oh, here’s this little [girl] from ‘Bad Girls Club.’ Why is she here?’ [Those women] were trying to plot to get me off the show before I even started filming.”
James kept her cool on the season, even when one of her only allies, Jackie Christie, spit on her during a trip. Despite all of that, she said she would take Basketball Wives LA over Bad Girls Club “any day.”
“‘Bad Girls Club’ was like jail, Word, it was jail! Everything ran on a clock. We had lights up, lights down. We had to ask to go, basically, to the bathroom. We used to get fined for talking without our mice on. We had to ask to do everything. So, I would choose ‘Basketball Wives’ any day because that’s like a real job.
